The Institution, Janata College of Education, Chandrapur is run by the trust "Chanda Public School, Chandrapur (CBSE Pattern)" established in the year 1953. The institute Janata College of Education was established in 1959 and is the oldest Private Aided one in the naxal affected tribal region.
 
 
The NCTE WRC Bhopal has granted us the permission to start Shikshan Maharshi Late.Shrihari Jiwatode Adhayapak Vidyalaya, Chandrapur with intake capacity of 50 students attached to the Janata College of Education, Chandrapur since the year 2004-05, after the college was accredited by NAAC with B+ Grade. Now as per the needs, requirements and demands of the students of this area we have applied to the NCTE Bhopal for an additional section of D.Ed.

The Institute, Janata College of Education, Chandrapur is run by the trust "Chanda Public School, Chandrapur (CBSE Pattern)" established in the year 1953 which is the oldest Private Aided College of the naxal affected region and is already recognized by the NCTE WRC Bhopal and has been accredited with B+ Grade by the NAAC Bangalore.This institute was established in 1959.This College was running M.Ed. course since 1971 to 1999 however as per the ruling of NCTE New Delhi the course was closed down. Now considering the utmost needs and demands of the people of this area, it has become imperative for us to ones again pursue the matter for starting the M.Ed. Course in our Institution.

The Institution, Shikshan Maharshi Late Shrihari Jiwatode Adhyapak Vidyalaya, Chandrapur which is attached with Janata College of Education, Chandrapur is situated near beautifully located Chandrapur-Nagpur road 162 km. away from Nagpur, a place of University, within the state of Maharashtra. The city of Chandrapur is at the outskirts of naxal affected area of twin districts Gadchiroli and Chandrapur where religious places such as oldest Temple of Devi Mahakali situated within the city. World renowned Baba Amte's Anandvan is situated 45 km. away from the institution. The Asia's biggest Chandrapur Thermal Power Station is located just 8 km. away and Tadoba National Sanctuary situated 45 km. away from the incumbent place too.
